When asked if I could do a photo shoot of four senior boys at the same time...I JUMPED at the opportunity. Most photographers know that boys very rarely like to actually have their picture taken, so photographers usually have an over abundance of girls and on rare occassions might have a boy.

These four have been on the same soccer team since they were little with the same coach, Coach K. This photo shoot was fun, hilarious, and insane all in one.

Quarter Crisis?

So, isn't it funny that just when you think you have it all figured out...YOU DON'T!?

Seriously, I NEED TO GET OVER MYSELF! LOL

I don't claim to know everything, but man oh man am I learning lots!

Random revelations....

--Let Go, Let God....easier said then done.

--Never place your trust completely in a person, they are human, they will fail you. Trust in the Lord and all his goodness. That way when you are let down, you can dust yourself off and try again!

--Say what you mean and mean what you say. Never miss an opportunity to tell someone..."i'm sorry, I love you, forgive me, or how are you?" Those missed opportunities will come back to haunt you and when they do take it as a lesson learned.

--Love like crazy even if your heart gets broken...it's worth it.

--Constantly ask yourself "Am I who I want to be?" Chances are you have left a dream, goal, or hobby go because "you're too busy." Pick it back up, you deserve joy.

--sometimes you have to be selfish. Be you, take care of you, then you can share that love and spread the joy. Broken, tired, beat down you, leaves no energy or love for someone else.

--Happiness, joy, greatness...it's all a choice you make first thing every morning. Want to have a great day...wake up with an attitude of gratitude!!!

--Honesty is always the best policy. If you try to work your way around something, it only hurts someone more. BE REAL.

--It's not about failing, falling down, it's about if and how you pick yourself up and try again. The glory is not in if you win or loose, it's in the journey.

--Life is full of mean, lying, back stabbing, ugly people, but be the light, be the joy, be the happy, you just never know what someone is going through.

--BE what YOU SEEK. You want sexy? Be sexy! You want joyful...be joyful! It's really not that hard haha! Prince charming ain't going to be with debbie downer or not so cute susie LOL!

--Don't plan for a good life in the future....start living your best life NOW! Be in the moment, soak it all in. If you don't...you will kick yourself later!

--Work hard so you can play hard!

--And when all the previous advice mentioned, or mom has given you....FAILS YOU....LAUGH really hard and start all over again tomorrow! :)

--That's all I have for right now....I'm a mess, I don't have it all figured out, but I LOVE IT! I love the challenge, the excitement, and the joy in knowing that even though I want to say I got it going on GOD is going to test me and push me to my limit just so I can always be a better me....FABULOUS!

So tomorrow, put on those running shoes and get out there and GRIND!

School's Out for Summer!

Finally....SWEET FREEDOM!

Kristel and I completed our first year as new teachers! Whoohoo! A huge accomplishment! Saying adios to our fourth graders and KinderRoos was very tough, but we did it and now we are enjoying sweet HOT summer!

BIGGER NEWS...
Kristel gave birth to baby Owen May 30th at 3pm....weighing 8lbs. 6oz. and 20"! He let her finish out the school year and came at the perfect time!

Me...
This is my first Monday off and so far lined up I have shopping, serious spring cleaning, dog grooming, a bridal shoot of a beautiful bride and all the other stuff I never had time for like sleeping in. painting my toenails. re-arranging my furniture. my TV shows. swimming. sun bathing. did I mention SLEEPING IN? :)

I will be on my way to meet Owen and visit with the rest of the Hester crew real soon, i'll post pics! SO STAY TUNED!

Client Spotlight: Andrea

Well, this session was very near and dear to me. It was of my cousin, Andrea, who will be graduating from high school May 28th! When did she GROW UP? I guess when she become old enough to drive, too old for mud pies, ditched the big hair bows, big fluffy dresses, and barbie dolls...insane in the membrane! She is turning into a woman right before my eyes and it just pulls at my heart strings. I love this girl, not just because I call her cousin, but also because she laughs at my jokes, is always happy-go-lucky when I see her, and she would give anything for anyone she calls family or friend. She has such a big heart of gold and a beautiful smile to compliment her sweet, down-to-earth personality. Now, let's get to those beautiful pictures shall we?

Meet Cutie Pie Hannah!

Remember this sweet face?

There are so many reasons I can't wait to share these photos of sweet baby Hannah, but for the sake of time I'll just name my top three.

one & two...
She is round, cute, and insanely lovable, AND I'm so lucky to call her family. I just can't stop smiling or hugging her when I am around her. I get real close to snatching her up and bringing her back home with me every time. Just editing these pictures I am counting down the days until I get to squeeze her again. I'm not the only one either, my family & I have serious debates about who has and hasn't gotten to love on her when she is around LOL!

The doctors said she was a risk not worth taking to her mamma's health. A risk her sweet mom shouldn't take. A risk that could just go away like no big deal...yeah right! Well, as you can see the Lord had other plans, as did her momma. Every time I'm around Hannah, her big brother and her Momma I just melt into one big puddle of love. Those three together are such a sweet sight to see. To think she was ever considered a "risk" is just outrageous. I thank the Lord that her mother is a God-fearing woman that has admirable faith.

Now before I get to Oprah on ya, let's get to those sweet pictures of HANNAH!

As I edit these pictures I can't stop singing "WE ARE FAMILY"...because that's exactly what these two beautiful girls are to me. One is a graduating cousin that I can't believe is even driving and the other is a baby cousin that brings such big smiles to everyone who meets her! I loved spending part of my day with both of them yesterday...lots of laughter, smiles, and silliness filled the West Texas air! :)

Well, this girlie automatically rocks because of her name and her sweet sweet pup just adds to her awesomeness! Her doggie is actually the sister of my sweet Jimi! Client Spotlight: Shelley & Brian

Love, how I love love. I am seriously having a ton of fun editing the engagement pictures of Shelley & Brian. Maybe because they just look so happy & it makes my heart swell with giddy ole love. I will be capturing their journey all the way to the alter & the celebration after. Very excited & honored. Their big day will be in July, so stay tuned to hear more about this love story!

For their engagement shoot I spent a Sunny afternoon in the sweet city of Denton, Texas. I love any excuse to go back to the pretty city of Denton so of course I had a ton of fun!

Their Story.
Shelley & Brian...

They met while she was in Jr. High and he was in High School. Where? Church. What can I say...God is good, all the time! Life had them go their separate ways for a while, but what's meant to be will always find a way. So, here they are finally together and looking mighty happy!

I love stories like this...it really shows that there are so many tests in life, but with a little faith, the right attitude and a good sense of humor, things always work out for the better if you just hang in there for the ride!

Well, I can hardly stand it anymore. So, without further adieu here are some of my favorites of Shelley & Brian!

How much fun did I have doing Shelley & Brian's engagement photos? Loads of it.

It was easy breezy, lemon squeezy. Not only are they both very down-to-earth and laid back, but by golly they are overflowing with that giddy, silly, fun, makes your heart swell kind of love.

Seriously?

ready for some ramblings?
because here they come!

Quick question----How fast is this new year going for you?

Seriously. I can't seem to catch my breath. My first year of teaching is flying by, good and bad comes with that. But geezer, I've already scheduled a few senior shoots and when people call me about summer weddings or senior photo shoots, I'm like why are you calling me about that already? Then, I look at my calendar and have a reality check. I guess I tend to live in la la land sometimes. It's fun though. Sometimes I miss my college life terribly. Mainly, the sleeping in and having freedom of only one obligation, school. Don't miss the late studying nights or papers, books, you catch my drift.

This growing up stuff....it's tough, rough, serious, and never ending. It has it's ups as all parts of life do, but it also has it's gray hairs. AHHHHHHH, yup found my first one. I'm staying in LA LA land and just sticking with, "my hair is really shiny!" HA

Another question...have you seen The Hurt Locker?

talk about a COME TO JESUS movie. My heart truly goes out to those that fight everyday for our country so that I can sit here in my PJ's sipping hot tea and blog about random thoughts in my head. And have the freedom to type Jesus. Really, if you have the opportunity to see that movie, it's in selected theatres, but it really shines the light where it needs to when it comes to war and the life of a soldier. I have really been looking at things I do, buy, say, a lot different since seeing it. I kinda felt like a spoiled brat after watching it. Which, as an American I am spoiled, hopefully the brat part isn't true.

I am thankful though, for the life I'm able to live because where I live and what and who allows me to live the life I live. Does that make sense? I might just be rambling, but it's really been heavy on my heart and constantly in my thoughts. Maybe it means something to you reading this right now. If so, please leave some love and let me know.

I'm trying to go back to this blog not only being a photo blog A.K.A quick entertainment and bring some life/meat/ heart back into it. If that means fewer readers...so be it. However, I really don't want that to be the case.

Well, now that my mind is a little clearer and probably confused you, my bedtime is past due. So, I will leave you with 2 questions...what's on your mind? What's been playing non-stop and heavy on your heart?

Crossing Things Off My To Do List...

yup-er-do! My to do list seems to be getting bigger these days! Things in the kindergarten world are busy and spring feverish. So, with no other choice.....tomorrow, MONDAY, I'm crossing things off. I must sit my ADD self down and get to editing some pictures, FINALLY unpack those last few boxes from moving, yes I know I moved in October, but I LOATHE unpacking and have yet to finish. My walls are still bare and frankly, I'm tired of seeing them that way. So, hopefully you will be hearing more from me. I'm crawling out from my rock and getting back into the swing of things. Laying on the couch after work and vegging the day away has been nice, but like all things, it must come to a halt and time for some prep for spring! whoohoo! I hope all is well on your side of the blogging world and LOVE finds you in every way possible this Valentine's Holiday! :) See you on the flip side!

H Wedding Sneak-a-roos!

I LOVE VALENTINE'S!

If you couldn't tell. It is beginning to look like Valentine's threw up on our page with all the V-Day Colors!

Yes, it could be a little soon, but I just love the THEME OF LOVE!

I can hardly contain myself.

and....we like to keep it real. We don't keep up with the Joneses(sp?) of the photography world, or any world for that matter. We like to encourage all to be what they were created to be....YOURSELF! To support that i've created a new little blog banner.....too silly? Maybe.

However, life is incredibly short and goes by quickly so remember to burn some calories this week by LAUGHING OUT LOUD!

K Wedding Sneak-a-roos!

On November 7, 2009 one of our dear friends married the man of her dreams! AND we were BOTH there to share, capture, and celebrate her big day! She is a dear friend that goes way back with us both, all the way back to high school yearbook, lunch dates, and too many silly high school memories!

We are so honored that she allowed us to capture her big day! She was truly a beautiful bride! My oh my let me just say this wedding had me singing "CELEBRATE THE GOOD TIMES, COME ON!" It was so much fun, I think we lost about 5 pounds just from laughing, dancing, and having a blast!

Mr. & Mrs. K, you guys totally rocked! Your day was absolutely perfect and beautiful! Hope your story grows and grows with love, laughter, and happily ever after!

Meet Brandi!

I am writing this post with a very full tummy, happy spirit, and thankful heart! I SO love Thanksgiving, especially with my sweet family! We ate until we were more than satisfied, laughed too loud, cheered on the cowboys and ate some more! Such a great holiday huh!?

Now, to my real reason for blogging...

About two months ago a childhood friend asked if I would take her senior pictures! I jumped with joy and said OF COURSE! I'll take any opportunity to meet up with good buddies and any excuse to get behind my camera, any day!

So, two weeks ago I spent a beautiful Saturday afternoon with Brandi. She is graduating from Texas Woman's University! That's right, like myself she is a proud T-Dubber! Graduating is now easy task and a huge moment in one's life, so I am very honored that Brandi allowed me to capture this milestone in her life. Brandi, we are so proud of you! We wish you only the best, honey, YOU HAVE MADE IT! CONGRATS....our hats are off to you, dear friend!

October 24, 2009 I spent the day with a beautiful and humble lucky man! This was my biggest wedding to date! My word for this wedding would be RELAXED. Anozira Update!

Yes, we are alive and well just been mia in the blogging world!

These days the Anozira Photogs are busy busy busy bees!

Kristel is in West, Texas teaching a classroom full of fourth graders and juggling mommy, wife, and teacher duty fabulously! Don't know how that girl does it, but she does it and she does it WELL! She is still doing her photog thing and recently took some of the cutest photos of her precious kiddos...mayhaps she will share with you soon! :)

And well as for me ....I GOT A TEACHING JOB! Even better...the grade I've prayed the Lord would allow me to teach...KINDERGARTEN! I started teaching four weeks into school, so lets just say THINGS HAVE BEEN CRAZY! However, i'm way to blessed to be stressed! I have a wonderful school, team, and class full of precious kinderroos that are so curious about the world around them and want nothing more than to learn and ask TONS of questions! I love it......paperwork NOT so much, but a teacher must roll with the punches in the form of paperwork! paperwork and more paperwork! But the silly songs, laughter and questions make it all worth it!

Other than teaching I recently moved into my first BIG GIRL apartment! Haha! I call it big girl because it is the first apartment I'm officially on my own and INDEPENDENT! Scary and wonderful all at the same time! I mean you know you are growing up when you get excited about purchasing your FIRST washer and dryer haha! They are being delivered tomorrow and I get so giddy about it, haha! SILLY? Maybe.

In doggie land...Jimi is the world's hardest dog to potty train i'm convinced. Any suggestions? Luckily he is cute, loving, and silly beyond words! He keeps me entertained and on my toes FOR SURE!

PRAISE...My gramps is CANCER FREE! Thanks to all that have prayed and encouraged my family and grandpa through it all! GOD IS SO GOOD! :)

Well, I hope this update has found you all doing well! I can't wait to get back behind the camera! Stay tuned, we have some weddings and photo shoots coming up and can't wait to share the love!

P.S is anyone else insanely excited that FALL has arrived....oh boy oh boy I love me some Thanksgiving and CHRISTMAS........my most favorite time of the year for sure! i'm so ready to drink my weight in hot chocolate and sing Christmas tunes at the top of my lungs! I've already purchased some Fall Flavor candles and the smell of them makes my heart smile REAL BIG!

As promised here is more of the C wedding! This reception was what the cool kids might say OFF THE HOOK! haha I forgot I was on the job it was so much fun. Everyone brought their boogie shoes & celebrating attitude. Mr. & Mrs. C you did a fabulous job of preparing and planning, every time I glanced around everyone was smiling, laughing, and having a great time! I couldn't spot ONE SINGLE PERSON not smiling or moving to the fun music! IT WAS A BLAST!

Meet Mr. & Mrs. W! I photographed their wedding August 15, 2009 in San Angelo, Texas! Unknowingly Blessed & My Bucket List...

I have come to realize lately I have a whole lot of unknowns in my life. These unknowns scare the b-jeezies out of me sometimes, but mostly they make me humble & stronger & down right thankful for what I have. This summer has been the scariest, busiest, and weirdest summers I have experienced in a long time. Lots of loved ones left my family or families around me to be with their Heavenly father. Lots of yuckiness also made its way into my family & families around me, yet I have had this peace of knowing that somehow, someway, with God's favor everything is going to be alright. I know this peace is a big result of all the love, happiness, encouragement, help and prayers that have been sent towards and upwards for us all, which all the thank yous within me wouldn't even begin to express my gratitude. Man I'm such a firm believer in the power of the human spirit, but not until this summer have I truly seen THE power of the human spirit. My world for the first time in a long time has been completely turned upside down. My pride has been popped, my heart has been punched, and my faith has been tested like something you see in the movies. Yet, I can't complain because I know it could be so much worse. I guess this is part of that POST GRAD stuff people talk about. The stuff where just when you think you have it all figured out, you get slapped in the face with no job, no money, and packing your bags to head back home until you figure it all out. Yup, that's what happened to this here lady. Let me tell you, job hunting is not as fun as they make it look like in the movies, but it's real & it's all about finding yourself right? Finding out who you are, where you belong, what you have to offer this world. AND by golly counting the blessings right in front of you. I may have grown bigger than my small hometown, or think I have, but man am I thankful for it & the family & friends that it has that have their arms wide open welcoming & encouraging me and never losing faith in me! I have been humbled, to say the least, in these last few months. I feel like I'm starting from scratch, back to square one, I hate and love it all at the same time. For the first time in a long time, I have no clue where I am headed....if you would have asked me a month ago I probably would have had a panic attack talking about it, but today I'm humbled, happy, thankful, and excited to see where I'll be this time next year.

Lately, as I've stepped back and re-evaluated my life I have had this huge burning desire to start a BUCKET LIST. Anyone have one of these started? Things you write down that you want to do before you turn a certain age or before you leave this earth and cross off as you do them. If you have one & don't mind sharing I WOULD LOVE to HEAR your list, mine is a work in progress, just like my life haha! HOWEVER...So far, I have travel the world....what parts of the world? UNKNOWN. Also I have CHANGE MY LIFE....what part of my life? UNKNOWN. Like I said, lots of unknowns in my life, but good ones.

My life may not be perfect, but who's is? It's tough, rough, and one heck of a ride, but with some good people alongside you it's so worth it isn't it?

Now, I promised I would share my new pup Jimi Hendrix with my blog friends! OH JIMI... he is a mess & definitely one of those unknowns in my life, but an unknown that keeps us all on our toes, entertained, & lets face it homeboy is just dadgum CUTE! HAHA!

....don't let that cuteness fool you into giving him table scraps or a nap on the bed though PLEASE! lol ain't puppy training fun? all tips & suggestions are also welcomed ;)

Meet Beautiful Bride Ana...

Hello world! I know Anozira has fallen off the blogger train for a while but THE GIRLS ARE BACK IN TOWN! :) I personally have so much to share. Just recently I photographed two weddings and have one on the way to do. I can't wait to share all the cute, fun, beautiful details of them but for right now I'm FINALLY sharing these beautiful bridals I took of Ana back in June. I have been itching to share them for so long because she is just down right beautiful in her white dress. I also captured her walking down the isle Friday, August 21, 2009 in her sexy white dress.

Some history... Ana is a friend I made while at the cute little university Texas Woman's. We had so much fun on her bridal shoot. She had her wonderful sisters and good friend come help out & boy did they! We laughed way too much, sweated our hearts out, fought off a pile of ants, and you know what?...ANA NEVER COMPLAINED! She is far from a bridezilla. Seriously, I think I complained more than she did about the ants & hot sun. I guess what I'm trying to say is Ana thank you for being a complete delight to photograph. I'm so happy for you & so honored that you chose me to capture your big day...I wish you & Mr. C only the best...now I'll let the pictures tell the rest! :) (*Rhyming intended HA!*)

Aerosmith sneak-a-roos...VLOG style!

Better late than never right!? Well, we are finally flipping through our pictures and videos from the Aerosmith concert & figured we share some videos...this makes our very first video blog...haha hopefully not our last! We warn you...for some reason we both get crazy accents & the sillys in front of the camera. Seriously, even when we were little. Our moms have videos of us pretending to be the Spice Girls, fighting, & other childhood memories that make us cringe when watching because we sound so funny...kind of like these videos but, WE LOVE YALL & said we would share our fun day! So here are the videos we recorded on our way to see Aerosmith July 19th, the weekend that came & went way too fast! We hope this post finds you all doing well & soaking up all that summer has left...stay tuned.

Haha, you should have seen us running from Loo's apartment & packing up the Hester mobile in the rain...here we are safe in the car heading to Dallas!

Client Spotlight-Misha & Chris

There are many reasons this engagement shoot was very special to me. When Misha first asked me to be apart of her wedding journey and photograph it for her I can't even begin to explain the beautiful words she used and the joy she brought to my heart. Misha and I go way back all the way to Little Dribblers and giggling in Church. Further more, her Dad is my preacher & her momma owns a darling little cafe in Snyder, Texas that I use to work at! Ever in town you HAVE to try it...and you ask for her Apple dumplings, they will change your life! (Mrs. Kathy's Southern Comforts)
If this shoot couldn't have gotten any better... it did, you see last weekend when I scheduled it, Kristel came into town for the AEROSMITH concert she got as a gift for the both of us from her wonderful hubby...more on this later! SO, for the first time in a long time we got to photograph together! WE HAD A BLAST! We whispered back and forth how adorable they were AND how in LOVE they are. It was our first time meeting Chris, but Chris is one of those down-to-earth guys that you feel like you have known your whole life. Chris and Misha I could go on and on about how excited we are for you two and how precious you guys are, but I'll let the pictures do the rest of the talking! Sneak-a-roos & an update too!

Hello World...Anozira is alive & well. We are just busy bees enjoying & soaking up all summer has to offer these last few weeks! This past week alone, we have had the amazing blessing of photographing a sweet sweet friend of ours & her lucky many together, rocking out to Aerosmith & ZZ top together, shopping till we drop, and laughing until we can't breath...can life get any sweeter? And more exciting news... I have been giddy with joy through the whole editing process of Misha & Chris engagement photos because these two are just down right GORGEOUS! I know when you see the three sneak-a-roos I've cooked up, you will agree! I can't wait to blog some pictures, funny stories, and even VIDEOS of Anozira working & jammin together! I've Got Sunshine On A Cloudy Day...

Wow! Did anyone else watch the MJ memorial? Intense, but very well said & done. My heart about popped out of my chest when I heard his daughter speak of how great of a daddy he was to her & how dearly she loved him. I'm sure I'm not the only one that was in a bit of a fog after hearing this. So, when I sat down & edited some sunflower pictures & pictures of a good friend, I just had to share. It was much needed sunshine & smiles. So, I figured I would share. I also have been dying to share this Irish Blessing that was the theme of Dylan's grandfather's memorial service this past June, whom I am honored to have met & known for the little time that I did. He had a heart of gold and was a very giving man & this Irish blessing says it way better than I ever could & goes hand in hand with the pictures I wanted to share...

Meet Picasso Parker!

Now, I love Texas...but sometimes, I just can't stand how big it is. Sometimes, I feel oceans & mountains away from loved ones. Don't believe me...google Alpine, Texas to Denton, Texas or vice versa & you'll see why Kristel & I don't get to see each other near enough.

Oh man, Kristel & I daydream about the day we can live closer together. This means working together more, hanging, shopping, all the wonderful things that best friends & sisters love to do! AND for me this also means...I get to spend more time with precious Parker, Kristel's spunky 3 year old. I'm so honored to be called "Aunt Lur-wah" by Parker. One of my favorite reasons to call Kristel is because most of the time the other side of the line is picked up with a "Hey Lur-wah watcha doin sugar booger" from Parker, it makes me smile from ear to ear every time. If Parker doesn't make it to the phone before his mother, I usually asks for at least a minute to speak to him & that's all I need. Within one minute, Parker can catch me up with what he has done in the last 24hrs & what he is doing at that very moment, & what he plans on doing with the rest of his time!

Well, last week I hit gold when I called Kristel. Parker was just about to do a little painting when I called Kristel & heard " Hey Lur-wah, i'm paintin." I asked him what he was paintin' & he said "oh, i'm paintin' spid-uh-man, i'm gonna paint spid-uh-man for you Lur-wah!!!" It just made my day!

Now, I would have been fine just knowing that the world's cutest Picasso painted a picture thinking about me, but it gets even better! Oh yes, last week my roommate brings me a mail package from Kristel & Parker, I rip it open & there it is...the painting of "spid-uh-man" topped off with some transformers stickers! It made my heart sing & made me feel like the world's richest art owner!

It might not be Picasso, but in my heart it so much better. It's legit, it's authentic, it's one of a kind, it's something I can't wait to show Parker when he gets older! It's worth a million and one in my book. :) I can't wait to find a cute frame & perfect spot for this one of a kind "Spid-uh-man" meets Transformers piece!

& if receiving the masterpiece in the mail wasn't plenty good, Kristel sent me these darling pictures of Parker getting his paint on...

I was on speaker phone when he was telling Kristel & I what he was painting me. He kept telling me "see Lur-wah, see right here, i'm gonna paint you spid-uh-man!" Just precious!!

I think i've gotten a bad case of TBD (TOO BUSY DISORDER). I also have a feeling i'm not the only one...any other victims out there? Any suggestions?

I think John Lennon said it best when he said " Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans."

This quote is so timeless and constantly at repeat in my mind. I have to remind myself to slow down & enjoy this crazy ride we call life. AND when I do take John's advice I come across some amazing things...

Meet Mr. & Mrs. G!

Last post I gave some sneak-a-roos of the G wedding. Now, without further adieu I would like to introduce you to Debbie & Temoc. This wedding was one of the sweetest I have seen, one of those wedding's that reminds you that there is such thing as a match made in heaven. The love this whole family shows is so admirable. I didn't even feel like a photographer at this wedding, I felt like part of the family, that's how welcoming and warm they are! I love to see love, and that is exactly what Debbie & Temoc have for each other. They have unconditional love for not only each other, but for each other's family! WOW! I spent my Saturday with Mr. & Mrs. G! They were the sweetest couple. Debbie was that ideal bride that every photog wants to photograph...beautiful, patient, sweet, and so down-t0-earth. Temoc & Debbie are definitely a match made in heaven. I was so excited to share their big day with them. Debbie is a fellow classmate of mine from Texas Woman's university that just graduated from T-Dub and is also going to be a teacher, and a darn good one at that! More to come about the G's! Debbie & Temoc I hope you are having a blast on your honeymoon and I wish you only the best! Thanks for such a fun day!

Hello! Well I have been off the blogging bandwagon for a bit and decided to jump back on! I'm glad Kristel has also decided to jump back on too! I hope all is well in your cool, cozy homes and that everyone is enjoying this sunshine weather!

Outdoors: I find myself scratching at the wall paper because I just can't stay indoors very much these days. The sunshine just calls my name and puts me in that happy-go-lucky mood and makes me want to go swimming, eat a sno-cone, lay in the pretty green grass, eat a watermelon, bbq, and eat smores! You know, all the fun loving summertime things!

The ultimate feeling...

Hello blog world! Wow, I have graduated and can now think straight! It's crazy the amount of stress I was under and did not even realize it. I wouldn't and didn't take time to do anything out of my daily routine. It is a huge weight off my shoulders that this semester is finally finished. Yes...let me gloat for a second: I graduated with a bachelor's of science in Interdisciplinary Studies on Saturday, and will soon be teaching our leaders of tomorrow, yay! I plan to do a lot more with my photography now that I can think straight and it's summertime (well to me it is). Although I will be looking for and hopefully claiming a classroom as my own this summer, so that will be another feat in itself! My best friend/lovely business partner (and family) came to the festivities in Alpine this weekend. I will have to upload those photos and give you a glance into our fabulous weekend next blog. In the meantime, I just wanted you to know that I am still alive! Speaking of best friend...has she mentioned to you that Aerosmith is back in the saddle (haha)! No really...we are attending their summer '09 tour when they stop in Dallas on July 19th! You have no clue how obsessed we are with Steven Tyler, his jaw, Joe Perry, his music, and the band themself! What a great graduation gift! And don't worry, you will be able to hear much more as our summer progresses! On another note, I took some friendly shots of jared's softball team on prom night and my three year-old son got dressed up to go see them. This has got to be my favorite shot...mainly cause he looks so out of the ordinary parading around with beautiful dolled-up, softball, cleat wearing girls! What do ya think?!?! Muah! Rock on bloggers, rock on!

Don't cha just love those days when you get to do what you love doing with a great friend beside you? With a friend that loves what you love just as much. Well, I had one of those fun days today. A fellow photog friend & I picked up our cameras and did something photographers rarely do. We took turns standing on the other side of the camera. Let me tell you, modeling only looks easy. While our shoot was insanely crazy, it was insanely fun. K. Renee stepped on glass, storms blew in, our hair was not doing what we wanted it to do, yet it was successful and fun!

Here is a fabulous shot K. Renee took of me & my summer shades. My favorite part of this picture is that we are both in it. AND it was something I thought of and K. Renee captured exactly what I was thinking...I mean, how often does someone get to say that? Sweet moment, it is one of those sweet moment's when the saying "great minds think alike" rings so so true! :)

I'm calling this shot..."gotta put my shades on because my future is looking mighty bright"...ehh?

Getting Over Myself...

Geez...how fast life can pass you by when your so busy believing and doing things that aren't getting you anywhere. I don't know If I make any sense at all when I say this, but lately I feel like I have been getting so caught up doing THINGS that I forget what is really important and what God really wants me to get out of this life. I sometimes have to remind myself to get over myself and count my blessings! When I get over myself, I really realize how lucky and blessed I really am. Does anyone else out there struggle with comparing their life to others? I am always talking about being yourself, living YOUR best life NOW, yet even I find myself comparing myself to friends, family, people. Oh society how you curse us to believe we MUST be doing this or that at this age or that age. Well I say poop on that and yay to living YOUR best life NOW...remind me of this tomorrow ok?:)

Here are some the blessings God has placed in my life lately...

1.16 kinderroos. I just finished a long term sub job with the kindergarten class I student taught with. I have never worked so hard in my life and loved every single minute of it. Who knew one could learn so much from a bunch of 5 & 6 year olds. Their biggest problem is who is going to lead our line to recess or who gets to help out teacher, not to mention they can make me laugh like no adult ever can. I also learned the "letting go" part of teaching. Having to hug them bye and place them all in the Lord's hands because my time with them was up with a huge lump in my throat and smile on my face at the sametime....tough stuff.

2. Patience.I took and passed my last state exam. By the grace of God I have semi-officially passed a brutal 4 and half years of jumping through hoops to become a teacher. All that is left is to apply for "state certification" but I have all the requirements checked off for that...just more paperwork and money...whoopie!

3. Gramps. In my previous post I mentioned that my grandfather has recently been diagnosed with cancer and is presently undergoing Chemo. I have never seen him at his best as weird as this may sound. His favorite thing is to spend time with his 7 kiddos and all us rambunctious grandchildren, it is kind of my favorite too! I now TRULY cherish every single moment I spend with him. I can honestly say that I even cherish when gramps has the grumps, which at his age it is often. BUT I remind myself that I will even miss the grumps from gramps one day.

Well, I just had to get that off my chest. Now, back to hanging out with the good ole' family. I'll be in good ole' Snyder this week catching up with friends & family, spending mommy's day with mommy! Then, the second half of the week I'll head further west to spend time with the Hester Family! Kristel is graduating May 16th!!! I'll blog my West Texas journey soon!

To all you mommies out there...Happy Mother's day! You do the world's most challenging, rewarding, exhausting, and never ending job and that in itself is beautiful... MOMMY POWER!

We Are Family!

So the weekend of Dylan & I's 4 year anniversary was also the anniversary of my grandparents...50 years to be exact! So, Dyl and I packed up and went down to good ole' snyder and celebrated with family the 50 years my grandparents have "put up" with eachother! haha! Just kidding...they love eachother and they have been through so much. I mean 7 kids ain't no easy task!...amen?

I always kid with them that they need to stop trying to beat eachother to heaven. Grandma has been through open heart surgery and many other hospital visits while Grandpa is currently going through Chemo, that praise the lord is going well!

I'm just glad we got to celebrate their love and show them how much they are loved and how they have held the family together for so many years! Here a few of my fav. pics I took from the family get together!

Client Spotlight|Meet Sherika

A few weekends ago I had a session with a dear friend that is graduating from Texas Woman's University this up and coming month!

Let me introduce you to Sherika...she is a drama major. Not like she is full of drama, but like she is majoring in drama and a future drama teacher. She is such a sweetheart and so talented! Let me tell you, we got some great shots from her session, which made it so hard for me to choose my favorites! Sherika, congrats on graduating and thanks for choosing me to capture this milestone time in your life! I had so much during your session, you are such a natural in front of the camera! Two weekends ago I had a fun shoot with a Texas Woman's Soon to be Graduate!

Meet Leighanne. Leighanne will also be joining the teaching field and I know she will make a wonderful teacher. She has a great sense of humor. She kept me laughing the whole afternoon. I had so much fun and we got some great shots from the shoot.

17...again!

Tomorrow marks 4 whole years for Dyl and I....how crazy is that?Ironically, I just saw tomorrow is the opening day of the movie 17 Again. Which I will have to beg Dylan to go see with me or find a girlfriend that is willing to admit they want to see it to!

Yup, April 17th 2005 our love story began...I'm not going to lie the longer you are with someone the harder you have to work at it. However, if you let love be your foundation with God at the center it makes every tear, disagreement, and short falling worth it and you both better for it all! God is so good. I thank him daily for my sweet guy. God continually uses Dylan to show me his love and sweet grace. I love that Dylan knows just how to make me laugh and just when to make me laugh. I love that Dylan loves me when I least deserve it and calls me beautiful when I feel my ugliest...just like my Savior!

Now, I will leave you with one of Dylan's most favorite pictures of us...don't ask me why....boys will be boys. :)

Spring Has Sprung...Sort Of.

How pretty was that weather Spring break came with? I'm just sad it didn't stay put. I loved going out in the sun, hanging out, riding a roller coaster, sleeping in, wearing my pj's for a whole day straight, only putting make up on if I felt like it! It was just the break I needed to relax & renew!

One thing I got to do over spring break was stay in downtown Dallas with my family so my mom could go to a Mary-Kay convention. She has begun to sell it and i'm so excited for her. They have some beautiful summer colors, and let's face it ladies, make-up just makes us feel better! Check out her website...

Photog Spotlight...

2 weekends ago I made a trip back home in beautiful West Texas. I had a couple of reasons for taking off and heading west. Numero one was for my sweet gramps. Please keep him in your prayers, he begun his Chemo two weekends ago and I had the honor of driving him to Lubbock and spending two whole days with him and lots of other family! He is so inspiring. Instead of being down in the dumps he was making me laugh all day and joking with the nurses and doctors, they all agreed that he has the right attitude. It turned out to be one of my favorite weekends with my grandpa. He is keeping the faith on going strong!

Numero Tres. To spend time with some great friends. I was also in the SNYDER DAILY NEWS March 7th, my mom's birthday (Numero Dos), right beside my great friend and photographer Krisi, whom I metioned and introduced last blog entry.

Numero Cuatro. Was to take Senior Portraits of my best friend & business partner. Yes, that's right Anozira's West Texas photog put down her camera for the day and became a model. She is graduating in May from Sul Ross State! We had too much fun. We both kept saying " I can't believe we haven't done this before..." She is so use to being on the opposite side of the camera that she was a bit nervous about modeling FOR the camera...but let me tell you, she is double talented! I got some incredible shots...it was so hard to pull my favorites for this post, but no worries I did.

now for some of those beautiful pictures...

I increased saturation for this one, usually I hate when people do this, but for some reason it totally works for this one...probably because my model is so HOTT!

This picture is one of favorites because I feel it captures her sweet spirit & bountiful beauty!

Sweet Saturday Memories....

Today, I did not clean my room, the dishes, do the laundry, or any of my apartment for that matter...but I did clean out some sweet memories from the holidays from my camera finally!!! I thought I would share a few of my favorite sweet moments with all of you....

This is one of my favorite pictures of some of my family & I ever! Can't you just hear the laughter? This was taken at my graduation celebration in January. How I miss my childhood memories of hide-and-go-seek, Go carts, and bar-b-ques with all of them!

Meet my sweet friend Kristen. Who also graduated in December! She is also a photographer. We had a fun January afternoon photographing each other for a spot in the SNYDER DAILY NEWS...look for us! These are our silly shots...we laughed so much & even contemplated about using these beauties for our articles!

Meet Fallon & Khloe! Fallon is Kristel's sweet baby girl! And Khloe is our dear friend Katie's precious bundle of joy. We did a mini-shoot of them at one of our girl's night outs over the holidays!

Long time, no talk guys! Like Laura has stated, I have been a busy bee and am sorry that I am not a more frequent blogger. Just because I don't write does not mean that I am not behind the scenes! Because I am paying attention (when I make time)! I am in awe of Darla's dream...and the comment that she left us regarding Anozira being the brand of cactus! And really, she has no idea what a godsend that dream was to Laura and I! We have been searching and really reflecting as to what a possibility for a future logo for anozira photography could be. Honestly...we loved the idea of a cactus (since Anozira) pronounced Ah-no-zye-rah for those unaware does dip it's roots back to the Grand Canyon State in which cacti run rampid! It just so happens that Alpine does too...now if only Laura lived here! The Armit of Texas would be complete! Ehh...one day we will find ourselves finally living back in the same town and all will be well! Onward. I am currently student teaching! Yay kiddos! I have the fourth grade, and thought I would not like it because I had such a bad fourth grade experience~ It has proved me wrong! I love it and have already spoken to my principal and superintendent about wanting to jump onboard with AISD! They are thrilled...so I guess they like me too! I do not know how long we will be here. I mean, if Jared is offered a better position and they have something for me too then we might just up and leave! But at this moment I'm unaware as to what our future holds! Jared (my husband) actually was moved from jr. high track and field to do JV and Varsity softball and has been encouraged to apply for the head girls basketball position, so who knows right now! I am so excited that graduation is coming up in like 11 weeks! This moment could not come sooner. Although I haven't lingered out my undergrad career as long as it feels like I have, I am sooooo ready! I really want to pursue my masters, but haven't the heart for more school in which I am the student right now (unless it deals with Laura and I going to some type of photo seminars/workshops) to better our passion!~ Parker is a stud with his states right now. We are learning (well I already know them), but I am working with my 2 (soon to be 3) year old on his fifty-nifty United States! He seems to think everything is California. We were working on Georgia...and not one minute after I was convinced he knew Georgia, all of a sudden it had morphed into a west coast state! Oh well...he has plenty of time for his states i do suppose! klZSLD (ohmygoodness...that nonsense to the left is my husband scaring me out of my wits! One day he's going to give me a heart attack because I am the easiest person in the world to scare, and he takes advantage of that fact WAY too often!) Parker is doing sooooo great with potty training. He's basically got it down. When i say basically, I mean most of the time. He always goes poo (sorry for the mommy lingo) in the potty now, but usually slips and doesn't go pee everytime he has too. But this is a far cry from where he was last month because I am the world's worst potty trainer. If you have a child that needs to learn how to use the potty, do not send them to the Hester household because I have so many other things that I am taking care of besides running to sit on the big boy potty every 15 minutes - I know, my bad. But he's doing quite good for the fact that I am a failure at being the best influence on learning! Fallon on the other hand, said dada 2 weeks ago, said mama for the first time last night, and said bubba today! Whether this is all coincedence is beyond me, but she is moving rather quickly in her stringing of words (she's going to be 6 months on March 5th by the way). uh-oh. speaking of, Fallontine is calling me now, must put her back to bed. night guys! That's what I've been doing so much lately! I took on a long term sub job beginning last week in a kindergarten class that I student taught in last semester! Their teacher left to have her first baby! It's a sweet baby girl named Isla Sophia! I just met her tonight and man is she a cutie!

As for teaching...
Let me tell you, If I can survive a kindergarten Valentine's party and Q& U wedding i'm good for the rest of the year! haha! Last week we had a Q& U wedding. My kindergarten boys were Mr. Q & my girlies were Ms. U! They got married because you always see them walking together in books and songs! Like quiet, and quit, and other fun Q&U words! They were so precious in their bow-ties and viels! Kindergarten is such a wonderful place to be!

My heart smiles so big just reading all the cute valentine's cards written to a miss arellano spelled in many assorted ways! I'm so exhausted at the end of every week day, but it's always so worth it! Just watching my kinderroos read and subtract, and add, and write, and have the hunger to learn makes me so giddy!!!

Kristel has also begun doing her own teaching! The big student teaching! Eventually when she gets her schedule figured out between being mom, wife, teaching, and student she will also begin blogging her life away! So, do stay tuned!

Well, i'm going to go back to watching the Biggest Loser as I eat my half price burger from Sonic...man, do I feel guilty! Haha!

What are some of your guilty pleasures? Is anyone else a reality TV junkie like myself? It's so not reality, but why the heck do I always get sucked in? :)

It was either going to a book signing to meet the Kat Von D, see the Killers, which I don't really listen to or go see the MAVS! Oh and it was all free...yup it so great to have nice friends! :) So, I chose to go watch me some basketball & hangout with some girlies! It was fun & the MAVS won! I just rhymed.

I found my external drive last week. A friend & I went to the electronic store Fry's ...talk about nerd heaven! If you have never checked out that store..go check it out. They have every electronic you could ever dream of. It's like Best Buy but with lots more & a cafe! So, I found my 1.5TB external drive there for an incredibly smart deal.....the box says it will hold up to 408,000 pictures...I think I'm set for life! haha!

I can't believe Valentine's month is already here! I have seen really fun advertising around town for fun things like heart shaped pizzas, dinner by candlelight, and of course chocolate! However, my Dylantine & I are on a serious budget this V-day season so we are going to get home-making creative. Any ideas? What are you doing for your Valentine or just for Valentine's day? Don't tell me your one of those I hate it, do you call it Singles awareness day? Don't say this is so because I love it, I love the colors, the candy, and most importantly the reminder that we should never forget to tell our loved ones how much we love them.......EVERYDAY should be Valentine's day!

Music & puppies make my heart smile...

Music makes any day better. Like today I finally spiced up the Anozira Photography myspace a wee bit & updated our music. Yes, we still had Xmas music blasting everytime someone visited our site! You should totally go check out our jams.......it's a Valentine's LOVE theme. Oh, and i'm so excited to say that a fellow Snyderite is totally on our music list! I love when people from my hometown follow their dreams & become famous! Miss Devyn is well on her way. You should go check her out to. Her voice is insanely beautiful....I can't wait to purchase her CD!

Canine American's make this world such a better place! And, i'm stupidly excited to say or at least I hope i'm allowed to say, you never know with the male species, :) my main squeeze & I are officially dog shopping! Doesn't mean we will add a Canine American to our lives like tomorrow, but i'm just excited we are looking! I am a dog lover 100%! So, if you have any suggestions as to where to begin looking send them my way! Petfinder.com has been suggested many times so i've began looking there! We will take our time because after all, Canine Americans are a huge responsiblity I know, but they are such a fun & loving resposibility to have! Wish me luck!

A couple a days ago a fellow inspiring blogger (http://deekaye-heartshare.blogspot.com/) wrote a sweet blog about 10 things that she loved that began with a certain letter of the alphabet! I wanted to take a swing at it so she sent me the letter R!

So today while trying to organize my room I thought about things I love that begin with the letter R & when I thought of one I jotted it down on my handy dandy bedroom mirror!

Mirror + dry erase markers=best Reminder board ever! You should try it sometime!

Back to Life, Back to Reality!

Hello from the metroplex! Yes, my winter break just ended on Wednesday! I always hate leaving my hometown, family & friends...my throat always gets clogged with tears & heart hurts to say "until next time." Don't get me wrong I love North Texas, but I also love West Texas to...I just love Texas, but sometimes I don't like that it is so big & I live 4 hours aways from my homies.

On a lighter note...I can't wait to show you some pictures from my break & catch you up, but that may take a few more days......

you see. I just took a financial risk & bought a new computer! *BIG CHEERS* It is nothing fancy smancy like my dream macbook(that I will have one day), but I love it already! I got an incredibly smart deal & it was much needed. It is an updated emachine desktop, I can't wait to set her up & use her! I will be sad to say goodbye to my present emachine though :-/. Oh, the things I have put this PC through, I've had him since my freshmen year in college! My old PC holds so many memories it is insane! That is why I have yet to make the switch! I'm on the prowl for an external hard drive to transfer all the memories to my new PC, so if you know of any good deals please do message away! I'm one of those shoppers that looks at every deal possible before purchasing something. I look for quality for not so much quantity...haha basically I want the goods with as little money as possible! A BARGAIN HUNTER! :)

Soooooo.....until I find my super smart deal on an external hard drive old faithful will still be around and my winter break pictures will be stuck in my memory card in my camera! But do stick around because when the new PC is set up I'll be posting pics like crazy! :)

Well, bargain hunting is about to begin.......i'm on my way with my main squeeze to look around DENTONIA for possibly my future external hard drive. First stop, Circuit city! The rumors are true they are closing & hopefully they have the deal i'm looking for! :)

Spotlight Clients-Meet Megan & Nicholas

Well, Friday I shot my first photoshoot of the new year! It was the perfect day to shoot to! Who knew in winter you could come across a sunny 70 degree day in TEXAS? Haha! I am of course kidding! I love silly Texas winter weather, especially when I can spend it with lovely family like Megan & Nicholas! They are the sweetest, most down-to-earth, happy family! Megan is one of those relaxed clients that doesn't mind climbing a few rocks to get a great shot! And Nicholas, well, when you see his pictures you will know right away why I loved photographing him so much! What a heart melter! It all worked out great, I took the group photos first and then played with Nicholas & got some sweet shots while doing so! Then, he was pooped & took a nap while his mommy & I did her single shots! I laughed and had a blast on this photoshoot! Megan & Nicholas, thanks for an incredibly fun day & I hope to work with yall again! I am so blessed to be able to call yall family!

Here is a new trick I learned this weekend that my camera can do...a photo overlay!

Nicholas kept laying his head on his mom's shoulder. It was one of those rare sweet moments I'm so happy I was able to capture!

He is so adorable! This is the one single shot I got him laughing & smiling at me at this particular site...you will see what caught his eyes in the picture below.

The rest of the time he was captivated by the rocks below him. One may or may have not found its way into his mouth ;)

The First Post of 2009...Whoohoo!

Now, to more serious things....or not so serious ;)

I, Laura, Would just like to take this time to bow my head for my old live journal & xanga blog! Yes, I have just put them to rest. I actually had forgotten about them until today, but this is how dedicated I am to the Anozira photography blog! It was quite hilarious though to go back & read some of my old posts! Things I thought were huge problems were not so much! I guess You can say I'm growing up! Well, folks do stick around. I shall post soon about Christmas break & all the fabulous things life has been bringing my way & my camera Nike's way! Kristel is about to start student teaching....I'm sure you will hear all about it! Stick around, 2009 has only begun!

So, to all you that have supported Anozira Photography thus far...thank you! I know when I say this i'm speaking for both of us...just can't thank you enough!

Kristel & myself are just so thankful that God has given us this opportunity to just stop talking about our dream of sharing our gift with the world & actually start doing it! We know so far it has been just baby steps for Anozira Photography, but we have to start somewhere! This new adventure has allowed us more time to talk & spend with eachother and that in itself is worth it all. It allows us to stay in touch & in tune with what is going on in eachothers life, even if that means talking about our wonderful clients the whole time. It is precious conversations and moments that make us laugh and bond and take away a few calories and push away a few more gray hairs!

The Year 2008.
2008 was the birth of many new things for both of us. Anozira Photography was born and introduced into cyber world and has allowed us to meet people & capture moments forever. It has also allowed us to fall in love with photography all over again & reminded us how much of an outlet photography really can be!

2008 also marks the year God Blessed planet earth with a gift in the form of a pretty little girl named Fallon. Yes, Kristel gave birth to Fallon in September & Fallon has brought so much grace, unconditional love & laughter to many lives already! I feel younger just being around her and her spunky littler brother Parker! Watching him become a big brother is seriously one of my favorite things to do. I burn so many calories giggling at how protective & confused he is with Fallon! The Hester Home is top 5 of my favorite places to be in the whole wide world...always love & laughter up in that place!

Tw0-thousand & eight also closed a chapter in my(Laura) life! Yes, I can now say I'm a proud holder of a Bachelors of Science in Interdisciplinary studies! It has been incredibly bittersweet to close the chapter of "college student" in my life, but also a relief & excitement have been brought along knowing that soon I will join the field that contains compassion, humility, laughter, and heart...TEACHING!

A pre-hello to 2009.
I'm such a sensitive soul and of course I'm bittersweet about saying bye bye to 2008. However, I know 2009 holds so much potential for Anozira Photography & for life period. I know our journey has only begun & will only get better. 2009 is a new year to meet new people, make new memories, capture new precious moments forever & always!

So, with these last hours left of 2008 I want to say thank you for your support & please stay tuned! May 2009 be a new year of love, laughter, blessings, time to right some wrongs, learning, growing, and memories to last a lifetime!

A Few Of Laura's Favorite Things!

Tis the Season! Christmas is by far my favoritest time of the year. The music, joy, love, decorations, family time, break, all of the above! As most of you know, this season will also be the time I graduate from college! Two days... so insane how fast this time came. I am excited and nervous at the same time. I am always ready for a new chapter in my life and challenge, but always sad about closing one to! Texas Woman's University has brought me new knowledge, friends, networking, and taught me so much about myself in the last few years. However, I won't cry because it's over, I'll smile because it happened...with a few tears in my eyes of course! :)

Now, I would like to share with you all a few of the things that make us photographers here at Anozira Photography smile and love what we do...

Meet Simba, he is hilarious. You say his name, he slants his head side ways in confusion of how the heck you know his name! :)

Meet 8 month Colton. This little boy has the sweetest spirit. He is a big teddy bear! While we were shooting he got tired of waiting on Santa...so he began to open the presents under the Christmas tree! :)

Meet Cooper, Colton's big brother! Cooper is a soon to be 3 year old that is 100% boy! Loves to run, laugh, but does not like to stay put in one place longer than 5.5 seconds! So cute!

Meet Nicholas. Nicholas, is one of those babies a photographer loves to shoot. He stares right into your camera and has the sweetest facials! Mom, needs to keep him close. Those adorable little lips & big brown eyes are going to have the ladies after him one day! :)

Giving Thanks This Season!

Inspirit of Thanksgiving, Anozira Photography just wanted to take this time to say THANK YOU! We feel so blessed to have the friends & family that we do! Thank you all for the wonderful comments & words of encouragement that you send our way! We love hearing from you all & we definitely count our blessings! We SO LOVE our hobby or what some might call "job." We are thankful that we can call our "hobby" play and not "work." Client Spotlight-Meet Kristen!

Last weekend I had a photo session with a graduating Senior from Texas Woman's University, Kristen! I had an insane amount of fun doing this shoot. Kristen is not only a fellow classmate but a wonderful friend! Kristen & I will both be graduating next month as Education Majors! YAY! :) Kristen is a beautiful woman inside & out! I can't wait to join the teaching field with her. She is going to make an incredible teacher. She not only has the talent & skills...she has the HEART! She loves kids and has an incredible amount of compassion! It was truly an honor to do this photo session. We laughed so much together and even discovered a new beautiful location in Denton to take pictures. Now without further adieu, here are a few of my favorite pictures from the shoot.

Meet Kristel Hester by Laura Arellano

So, let's talk about Kristel Hester today. Which, just so happens to be her Birthday! November 19, 1985. Let's call this my "wish I could be there gift" blog. :)

You all know by either reading previous posts or by being a family member or friend that we have been friend's since the ripe age of 2! So, let's talk about what you don't know or some of you close friends & family might very well know...but i'll go even deeper. Just lend me your eyes...

Friend. Yes, she makes a great, true, honest, the list goes on, friend. She is THE best listener I have ever met in my 22 years of life. You know at those horrible times or super fabulous times of your life when you just need someone to listen, not speak, just listen?...she is THAT friend. She helps me more than she will ever know get through the good and most importantly she celebrates the good times WITH me. Her heart is pure and her heart is BIG. She cries when she laughs, she cries when she's mad, she cries when she's sad, she cries when she's happy...do you get it?...the woman has a HUGE heart! I love it. She is one of the people in my life that God uses to remind me daily to let go and LAUGH. She reminds me to LOVE with all you got and to forgive in order to move on and live a healthy and passionate life. She is my long lost sister or the cool kids would say "she is my sister from another mister."

Mommy & wife. Kristel is a mommy of two beautiful, precious, and spunky kiddos! Words can not begin to express how much this woman loves her kids. I love how she uses her passion & talent of photography to capture her heart & soul, her family, to share with the world. When I see the photographs she takes of her family I can not help but smile because I know she is paparazzi-like in her house with her husband & kids pretty much 24/7. I also know she does this so she doesn't miss that moment that is worth a thousand words that can last forever for their family, now that she captured it on camera. She is one of those moms every woman hopes to be. I know that her favorite and happiest place to be is right with her family...and of course camera in hand ;).

Business partner. This is a new role Kristel has recently started to play in my life. I mean unless you count the photo shoots we use to take of kids down the block with our mom's 35mm cameras back in the day. OR us molding and building things out of clay-doh, mud, sticks, paper, etc. etc. and soliciting them to whatever neighbors or family members were nice enough to listen to our sales pitch. But if you are not counting those adventures, you can now officially call us business partners thanks to our photography company Anozira Photography. Kristel brings much to the table at Anozira Photography. She is not only our West Texas Photographer, she is our organized brain and cheerleader! She is very detailed and very organized. She has an eye for spotting details I would have missed. She keeps Anozira Photography on track. No one makes a to-do list like Kristel makes a to-do list! Kristel also has characteristics of a successful business woman. She is dedicated and will not say the job is done, until the job is done and everything on her detailed, organized to-do list is checked off! Her integrity, creativity, organization, keep growing and I am so excited to see her grow throughout our new adventure as a strong woman and photographer still!

Kristel. She is a friend, wife, mom, photographer, student... I don't know how she juggles it all so gracefully and wonderfully, but she does. Not only does she manage to juggle this crazy thing we call life, she does it with a heart and smile that only get bigger, sweeter, funnier, and more compassionate each and everyday! :)

Client Spotlight-Meet Krystal!

Let me introduce you to Krystal.

Krystal is a Senior at Texas Woman's University graduating in December...December 13th to be exact. She also just happens to my roommate and our very first client to make SPOTLIGHT CLIENT! Spotlight clients will become our default picture on our myspace, top 3rd friend, and get a wonderful little blog & bulletin written about them. Just litte somethings to show how much we appreciate a specific client sharing memories with us!

This past Sunday I had the honor of shooting Krystal's senior portraits at TWU! We had so much fun, laughed, almost cried of knowing we are officially about to be grown ups, and enjoyed the pretty day hanging out and capturing wonderful pictures! My best friend...

So, okay. This is my first blog and I'm so new at this thing it freaks me out! I want to write a little and let my best friend know how much she is appreciated! Now that I have known Laura for about 21 years, I am very comfortable saying that she is my right hand (well if my right hand lived in Denton). She is truly that one that you call your soulmate. Don't get me wrong, I love my husband for everything that he is - but Laura (Ellay, La, Elsie, LornaDoone, some call her Loo)- she was my first love. I called her my best friend at four, and that has and will never change! We have been through way to much for anything to even chance our relationship. I love that when we were about first graders we promised one another that no matter what the problem was, there was nothing too big to come in between us. We thought we had it all figured out. We saw so many friendships go to waste. People who took one another for granted and shot their friendship over something so petty. I have so many wonderful friends that deserve to be called best (because they are)...but this girl has my heart. She was there from the time my daddy passed away, to the time I got my first kitten. She was my run-away partner, and the only one I would color my face with red lipstick and pretend to be a strawberry for. I look back on the times that we loved to pretend to cook and how many mud-pies we served up! That is my new theory on why you and I both do not like to cook. We did it way too much as children. What is that...we didn't even have time to learn to cook from our mothers. We were too enthralled with one another. I think that I secretly envisioned you leaving me. I just knew you were too good to be true! I always wished for a sister, and suddenly you were placed into my life and I never wanted to leave your side. It really is fate that our paths crossed at the time they did. I can't tell you that we would have even liked one another had we met 10 years later. I am who I am because of you. We taught one another how to be so compassionate and aware. gosh, So many girlfriends we had. And every that one became close to you, they had to get approval by me. I wasn't losing MY best friend. And now, that you are off on your own - I have this sense of security. For some reason I know I won't lose you. I want to share you with as many people that want to be friends with you! They deserve to have some Laura in their lives. Everyone needs your happy spirit to brighten their day. That is the same spirit that I have always known and loved. I am so happy that you moved to a big place and you spread out and have discovered yourself! We discovered our passion for photography so early in life. Haha, one of our first photoshoots - We were in your bathroom on 34th and I had an old 10mm camera. We did the shoot in your bathroom and I was so mad when we realized it had no film! Pictures capture the moment; they capture everything wonderful about that moment that you never want to forget. Everyone deserves to think that their happiest times can be frozen...and photographs have always done that for you and I. We sure have come far from then! We were such young tikes wanting to live so large, haha! We then took four years of photography from a man who will always be so dear to both of us! He loved us so much that he went to great lengths our last two years of high school to form special classes in which we were his only photographers! I think he saw our hearts and how much potential we had! He always challenged us, and we had senioritis bad. We didn't want to give it our all like we could have. I do miss that! I think photography takes me back to you; that is why I would never do this with anyone else. Your vision is so focused and true. I can't wait to add to this venture with you. It will only bring us closer in due time. We both still have an abundance of potential! There is so much we would get with a degree in the art, but we both went with our love for children. That's okay...we will get our fill soon and it will be very much worth the wait! The children that you will be mentoring are in for the time of their lives! What a way to relive your childhood (through others kiddos, haha)! You are so great with children Laura - you bond with them so well and are truly mothering...these are who you photograph best, in my opinion. I cannot wait to see what your future photo fate holds with your new DSLR. You are an inspiration my love! My cousin sure is lucky to have caught you in his bag. I just wish he would hurry and make a move so that I can officially call you family! I love you Laura.

So, how did Anozira become our name?

Hello dear readers!

So, several have asked where did the name Anozira come from? Maybe a few of you have noticed that Anozira is Arizona spelled backwards...while I would love to say that there is deep and complex meaning behind our business name it is just a funny, cute story really.

Let's go back oh say 10 years, that would make us about 12 years old. This would be the prime time that Kristel & myself were madly in love with the HANSON brothers! Yes, I was to wed the middle one while she was to wed the youngest Hanson brother! Anyways, we loved to play talk show. We of course were always the Spice Girls. Until, one night we decided to write our own songs and come up with our own band name! At the time we were both wearing matching Arizona T-shirts...i mean of course right?...we had to match! We were thinking and debating and then SHABAAM! We looked into the mirror at the same time and saw ANOZIRA!!! This is when the name was formed and we just knew we were going to make it big one day and be on OPRAH!!!!

Well, sadly, our parents never took our Spice Girl moves seriously and we were never signed or on OPRAH :(... AND 10 years later here we are finally putting our 12 year old genius to use!

Yes, friends JcPenny matching T-shirts are the reason today we call ourselves ANOZIRA photography!

Puppies for sale!

This summer our black lab gave birth to 12 adorable lab puppies! We are now trying to find great homes for them! If you are interested in purchasing one please give a ring to 325-573-2040! Labs are some of the most lovable dogs out there! We are keeping one puppy for ourselves because we love labs that much!

Here is the chubbiest of the group getting his first taste of milk from a bowl...I don't exactly know how much milk actually made it into his belly! So cute!

This little boy is not shy for the camera at all...he kept coming up to my camera to smell it and check it out. I got this picture when I whistled and he tilted his head in confusion!

This little girl was also not shy for the camera at all. We are happy to say that this little girl has already found a forever & loving home!

I believe this is one of the black lab boys! Yes, he totally made love to my camera! So serious!

P.S the Lab puppies are located in Snyder, Texas (West Texas).
P.P.S Keep in mind the puppies are bigger, but believe me they are still just as cute! If you are interested give us a ring and come fall in love with one! :)
